The Amici Collective is a unique ensemble that offers music for weddings, receptions, parties or any type of corporate event. The players have worked together extensively in orchestras, West End Theatre shows, recording studios and light music venues and can be flexible to accommodate your requirements. The ensemble performs many original compositions and arrangements in a wide variety of styles, from Baroque to classical, film to folk, jazz and world music.
As friends they collaborate closely to bring you an enjoyable and interesting musical experience.
JANE SPIERS-KEELAN ~ FLUTES
Jane is an established flautist, having studied at the Guildhall School of Music and the Basel Musik Akademie. She won many prestigious prizes at college and the highly acclaimed European Music for Youth flute competition which lead to multiple concerts throughout Europe and the UK. Jane has performed with many of the orchestras in London and around the UK, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and many West End Theatre shows. She is also pursuing a career as an artist with recent exhibitions at Morley College and the Putney Library in London.
MICHAEL KEELAN ~ VIOLIN/ACCORDION/PIANO
Michael has been a member of the BBC Symphony Orchestra for several years and has worked extensively in London’s West End where he has been the lead violin and conductor. His most recent engagement was Disney’s Frozen at the Drury Lane Theatre. His conducting has included American in Paris and Sweeny Todd. Michael is a talented jazz and folk musician playing both violin and accordion in numerous festivals and gigs around the UK. He is also pursuing his passion for making and restoring violins.
LAURA ROSE ~ CELLO
Laura is a highly experienced and versatile cellist and has performed with orchestras, opera and ballet companies in the UK and Europe, such as the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and the Oxford Philharmonica. She has also worked extensively in theatre, radio and TV and with a multitude of artists including Joan Armatrading, Neil Diamond, Jimmy Sommerville, Jamiriqui, Burt Bacharach and Take That.
NAOMI BOWLES ~ VIOLA
Naomi is a very successful viola player and has worked with orchestras around the UK, including the BBC Concert Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. She has also toured and performed with a variety of artists including Bread, Rod Stewart, Russell Watson, Take That and Andrea Bochelli. She has enjoyed being a regular member of the Shirley Bassey Orchestra for seven years.
